The Punisher's Creed
1. Shoot.
2. Shoot more.
3. Keep your distance. You ain't a tank.
4. Buff up! Hunker down! Shoot harder!
5. Desperate times call for desperate stuns. Give them a taste of your plasma cannon's metal and make a dash for it, or debuff and shove your plasma cannon in their face and have fun.
6. Focus down the medics, sentinels, and other punishers first. your shooting will do hardly anything to a tank with a medic at their back.
7. Stay behind the tank line. You ain't a tank.
8. Stick with your medic. She's your lifeline
9. Mech to take care of those pesky swarms of squishier enemy arkana.
10. Throw a bomb or two. You might blow the cover off some shadow walker's naughty bits or at least hit a bunch of enemies holed up in their defense cocoon.

As a Punisher, there are a lot of things you might be able to do depending on your build, be it detecting, hiding in wait, stunning, debuffing, throwing up a defense cocoon or supporting your fellow marks-women with an attack-boosting offense cocoon. You can eff some unlucky FK up 1 on 1 with stuns and debuffs, or turn into a total defense turret, hunkered down and pumping out almost twice your unbuffed damage. it's up to your build.

Basic guidelines to keep in mind are that a PU is a dps-class. We hit hard if built right. Damage mastery is a must-max, Fire squad and offense cocoon are also quite important for working in a team. Of course every Punisher needs more survive-ability, so stuns are very important to keep yourself alive in pvp... or to nuke the crap out of some poor sentinel that just so happened to think they could take you without backup.

good skills to invest in for damage purposes are: sharpshooter, demolition, mighty impact, atomic bullet, and plasma bullet. all of these besides sharpshooter have their own chakra damage bonuses, which void and defense does not mitigate.

debuffs such as Penetration, are good if you have a team to help take advantage of that debuff during its duration. and detection cocoons are useful to have when you're looking out for SW in a pvp zone while trying to finish up your daily quests.

we do not tank well, so defense and void are not as effective as with a defender or whipper. if you can, get some eva or ch-eva in your gear in addition to the defense and void to help you avoid some of the damage that could have killed you.

be sure to check out the builds in the build section if you're looking for guidance!

well, off to go obliterate mobs for my dailies!
